Scott Gatewood has been working in the outdoor industry for over 10 years. Working with Primos Hunting Calls for the better part of 8 years, led to some great experiences in the outdoors. In 2000, Scott guided moose and caribou hunts in Southwest Alaska, as well as whitetail deer, mule deer, and antelope hunts in Wyoming. In 2001, Scott decided he wanted to guide hunts for the monster whitetails we all dream about. Knowing there was no better place than Pike County, Illinois, Scott went to work with Heartland Lodge right in the heart of Pike County. After guiding whitetail and turkey hunts for 4 years at Heartland Lodge, Scott saw a great opportunity to help bring landowners and hardcore whitetail deer hunters together, which led to Scott getting involved in the sale of recreational real estate.

On his second day out a large buck was being chased by a coyote, the buck leaped across a old road bed and a ditch full of water leaving the coyote sitting on the road bed looking dejected. Chris stated \" Seeing that big old buck fly across that wide expanse had me in aw it was beautiful\" From then on Chris was hooked on hunting, and has known just how that old coyote felt many times since then.
